a week of NOWS ~ #46

My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.

Here’s this week of NOWS:

a sermon that powerfully and positively shifted my focus;

that, after more than 20 years, not much seems real until I tell Tom;

the grace of gut-level conversation, especially when it includes laughter;

the hope of freshly-installed sheetrock;

a life-changing gift from dear friends;

Farmacy on Main;

that CBD oil continues to enhance 14 1/2 -year-old Blossom’s life;

how white vinegar and/or baking soda will clean almost anything;

the BEST turkey I’ve ever eaten (apple-smoked on Tom’s Big Green Egg);

the healing impact of chosing gifts from my late sister, to wear to her husband’s funeral;

spotting a gardenia bush in bloom in November;

the beloved humans, heron-in-flight, and vocal ducks who attended my brother-in-law’s funeral;

witnessing two heartbroken brothers hug;

witnessing an honor guard folding the American flag; and

that hope and love really do ‘bat last’.

What NOWS did you experience or witness this week?
